Isaiah 38:7

And this shall be a sign unto thee from the LORD, that the LORD will do this thing that he hath spoken;

This (shall be) a sign - a token that God would fulfill His premise, that Hezekiah should 'go up into the house of the Lord the third day' (; ). The specification of the third day is not in Isaiah.
