Proverbs 11:30

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise - (.) "The fruit" which "the righteous" bring forth, namely, in benefiting the bodies and souls is of others, is salutary, like "the tree of life" (; ; ). "He that winneth (literally, taketh) souls" - like a successful fisherman, that he may bring them to God and heaven (): by precept and by example (; 1 Corinthians 9:19; ).
