Proverbs 16:8

Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right.

Better is a little with righteousness, than great revenues without right - (.) "Better:" for the tranquility of conscience, for the present enjoyment of this life, and for the life to come. In we are warned against gain without religion ( "the fear of the Lord"): in , against gain without love to our neighbour: here, against gain "without right."
