Cast out the scorner, and contention shall go out; yea, strife and reproach shall cease.

Cast out the scorner - from the family (as Hagar and Ishmael, : 'Sarah saw the son of Hagar ... mocking, wherefore she said, Cast out, etc.), from the State, and from the Church. He who scorns God and man stirs up quarrels. To get rid of him is to get rid of "strife" (Hebrew, din, judicial contention).
