we have sinned and have committed iniquity, by leaving the path of God's commandments, and have done wickedly and have rebelled, shown rebellious behavior, even by departing from Thy precepts and from Thy judgments, the introduction of the confession being modeled after the words of Solomon's prayer, 1 Kings 8:47;
