But I will make them keepers of the charge of the house, of a decidedly secondary rank, for all the service thereof and for all that shall be done therein. There is only one comforting thought in this section, namely, that one may be a believer, and that in a distinguished place, and yet lose some special honor, be acknowledged as pious, yet be excluded from some dignity. The sin is forgiven, but the consequences of the sin must often be borne throughout life.
