Ezekiel 9:8

And it came to pass while they were slaying them and I was left, he being the first one to be spared, and possibly the only one, in the Temple area, that I fell upon my face, in the attitude of most urgent supplication, and cried and said, Ah, Lord God, wilt Thou destroy all the residue of Israel in Thy pouring out of Thy fury upon Jerusalem? He showed the same feeling of compassion as was exhibited by Abraham in making intercession for Sodom and Gomorrah.
