Genesis 12:17

And the Lord plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai, Abram's wife. It was, literally, great blows which the Lord inflicted, and apparently of a kind as to shield the honor of Sarai. Cf Genesis 20:4. In some manner also it was revealed to Pharaoh what the real situation was.
