Kretzmann's Popular Commentary

Psalms 119:42

So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me, attacking him for his trust in the Lord; for I trust in Thy Word. The knowledge, based upon the clear statements of God's Word that every believer has salvation, is his means of defense against the enemy's insinuation that he cannot be sure of God's mercy.
