Psalms 143:2

And enter not into judgment with Thy servant, dealing with him according to His strict and absolute justice; for in Thy sight, before the all seeing eye of the omniscient God, shall no man living be justified, not one human being can stand before God in his own righteousness, allege the perfection of his life and conduct. It is only by realizing and acknowledging his sinfulness without reserve and throwing himself entirely upon the mercy of the Lord that any person can expect justification, namely, by means of the righteousness of Christ imputed to him.
