YHWH's Answer Is Unequivocal. It Is True That Nothing Is Too Hard For Him, But That Must Be Seen As Precisely The Reason Why He Was Delivering The City Into The Hands Of The Chaldeans. For He Will Also Later Cause His People To Return From Exile So That Land Will Once Again Be Bought And Sold In Judah (Jeremiah 32:26).

YHWH answers both of the questions that are preying on Jeremiah's mind. On the one hand He stresses that He does intend to deliver the city into the hands of the Chaldeans because of all their iniquity (Jeremiah 32:28), and on the other He draws out that He does intend one day to deliver them again and restore them to the land, so that they might buy and sell land once again (Jeremiah 32:36). Thus both of Jeremiah's options are to be seen as true. And that is because NOTHING is too hard for YHWH.

Jeremiah 32:26

‘Then came the word of YHWH to Jeremiah, saying,'

Observing His servant's perplexity YHWH graciously comes to Jeremiah with the final answer to his questions.

Jeremiah 32:27

“Behold, I am YHWH, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?”

He confirms that Jeremiah is quite correct in having said that nothing is too hard from Him because He is ‘the God of all flesh', the Universal Lord, with complete authority over all men. For the phrase ‘of all flesh' compare Numbers 16:22; Numbers 27:16.
