Peter Pett's Commentary on the Bible

Luke 6:18-19

‘And those who were troubled with unclean spirits were healed. And all the multitude sought to touch him, for power came forth from him, and healed them all.'

Unclean spirits could not stand His presence. We are probably to see that those who were possessed were healed at His word. Uncleanness was being banished, and Satan's kingdom overthrown (compare Luke 11:17). And the crowd pressed in to touch Him for the power came forth from Him, and it healed them all.
