OLBGrk;

The valley is in Scripture sometimes called Ge-hinnom, from whence came the Greek word Gehenna, used by our Saviour for hell, Matthew 5:22, eid thn geennan, because of the hellish torments they there put their children to when they sacrificed them, and of the hellish cries they made. This valley is said to have lain very near to this gate; thither Jeremiah is commanded to go, and there to proclaim the following words.
