κατὰ Μαθθαῖον is adopted in preference to κατὰ Ματθαῖον by the best recent editors on the authority of אBD. The evidence, however, is not conclusive, for in the text even these MSS. admit the other forms in some instances. See Scrivener’s. p. 488.
