ἐπὶ τὸν ἐγ. Ἰ. (1) The trust is personal in a Personal Power, whose Power and Character are revealed in the crucial act. (2) The raising of Jesus is a kind of antitype of the birth of Isaac. Note that the name Jesus is used alone to emphasise the historic fact—τὸν κ. ἡ. = whom we acknowledge as Lord.
