at Pasdammim The same place under the name "Ephes-dammim" is mentioned in 1 Samuel 17:1 as the gathering-place of the Philistines. It was in the S.W. of Judah.

barley Samuel "lentils." The two words resemble each other in Heb. and might be confused by an unwary scribe.
