And Hazael said, But what,is thy servant a dog, that he should do this great thing? R.V. And Hazael said, But what is thy servant, which is but a dog, that he should do this great thing? Hazael has felt the keenness of the prophet's glance, and finds that his thoughts are known, and his inmost designs laid bare.
