A double message of encouragement and warning based on the preceding soliloquy of the Servant. It seems evident that the Servant here is regarded as the nucleus of the godly party who are addressed in Isaiah 50:10; in other words, as a personification of the true Israel which is in process of being separated from the unbelieving part of the nation. These last are addressed in Isaiah 50:11 as opponents and persecutors of the faithful Israelites.
