satisfiest the desire of every living thing This rendering probably gives the right sense. Cp. Psalms 104:28, on which it is based, "thou openest thine hand, they are satisfied with good." Cp. Psalms 145:19. The word rendered desiremay however mean the good will, favourof God (Psalms 106:4): hence R.V. marg., satisfiest every living thing with favour.
