The procession which conducted the bride to her new home was an important part of the marriage ceremony, and was always accompanied with songs and music and dancing and every mark of rejoicing. "The children of Jambrin made a great marriage, and were bringing the bride from Nadabath with a great escort, inasmuch as she was the daughter of one of the great nobles of Canaan.… And there was much ado, and a great train of baggage; and the bridegroom came forth with his friends and his brethren to meet them, with drums and instruments of music and many weapons."
