2 Cor. 3:16. "Nevertheless, when it shall turn to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away." That is, their heart (shall turn to the Lord - the veil shall be taken away), in allusion to Moses taking off the veil when he turned away from the people to the Lord. Exodus 34:33-35. And till Moses had done speaking with them, he put a veil on his face. But when Moses went in before the Lord to speak with Him, he took the veil off until he came out. And he came out, and spake unto the children of Israel that which he was commanded. And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses's face shone; and Moses put the veil upon his face again, until he went in to speak with Him. Moses, while absent from the Lord, was blinded, and his head veiled, but when he turned to the Lord, the veil was taken away. So it is with the hearts of men.
