Exo. 11:2, 3. With so high a hand did God bring out the children of Israel, that He did not only set them at liberty from their slavery to the Egyptians, but He also took care that they should be well paid by the Egyptians, but He also took care that they should be well paid by the Egyptians for their first service as they went off. So that, after all the Egyptians' obstinacy in refusing to part with their future service, God at last made them in effect part with the benefit both of their future service and past service too (chap. Exodus 12:36).
