Philippians 4:8

8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest,a whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Phil. 4:8. "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." The Apostle in the immediately preceding verses had told them what they should not exercise their thoughts about - viz., outward things, things pertaining to their worldly interests: verse 6, "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God." Now he tells them what they should think about - what should be the objects of the greatest exercise of their thoughtfulness and care.
