2 Chronicles 28:22-27

2 CHRONICLES—NOTE ON 2 Chronicles 28:22 Compare 2 Kings 16:10. Judah reaches its lowest point before the exile when Ahaz desecrates the temple and discourages faithful worship (2 Chronicles 28:24; 2 Chronicles 29:7, 2 Chronicles 29:18). Although this will be reversed somewhat by the reforming kings Hezekiah (chs. 2 Chronicles 29:1) and Josiah (chs. 2 Chronicles 34:1), Judah is headed for destruction and exile (see 2 Chronicles 28:5).
