Exodus 13:11-16

EXODUS—NOTE ON Exodus 13:11 set apart to the LORD all that first opens the womb (v. Exodus 13:12). Every firstborn was regarded as belonging to the Lord. And when in time to come your son asks you, “What does this mean?” you shall say... (vv. Exodus 13:14). Parents were to explain to their children why they did the things that the Lord asked of them.
