Genesis 26:26-31

GENESIS—NOTE ON Genesis 26:26 Abimelech comes to Isaac to establish a covenant (v. Genesis 26:28) or treaty with him, guaranteeing they will live together peacefully (compare Genesis 21:22). Phicol is possibly the same individual as in Genesis 21:22. Alternatively, “Phicol” could be a family name or a title.
