Isaiah 17:9

ISAIAH—NOTE ON Isaiah 17:9 The Canaanites had deserted their cities centuries before because Israel trusted God to give them the land (see the book of Joshua 1:1). Now, Israel was foolishly trusting in the same human power that God had already defeated.
