PSALM—NOTE ON Psalms 40:11 Verse Psalms 40:11 alludes to Exodus 34:6. Previous experiences provide assurance that, in the current difficulties (evils... beyond number and my iniquities, Psalms 40:12), God will again make haste to help the singer (v. Psalms 40:13). The faithful (all who seek the Lord) will rejoice and be glad (v. Psalms 40:16) when the singer tells the “glad news” in the “great congregation” (v. Psalms 40:9).
