ΠΑΥΛΟΥ ΤΟΥ ΑΠΟΣΤΟΛΟΥ

Η ΠΡΟΣ

ΚΟΡΙΝΘΙΟΥΣ

ΕΠΙΣΤΟΛΗ ΠΡΩΤΗ.

THE INTRODUCTION. § 1. The Title and Salutation, 1 Corinthians 1:1-3. Πρὸς Κορινθίους ᾱ (see txtl. note) is a sub-title, marking the ep. as part of the collection bearing the general name Ὁ ἀπόστολος. With this agrees the oldest system of Chapter s (κεφάλαια), preserved by Cod., which divided the fourteen Letters into sections numbered consecutively throughout. In all ancient copies this ep. stands second in “The Apostle”; the Muratorian Canon sets it primum omnium.
