ἀλλὰ καὶ γ. τ.: introducing another hope-inspiring phase of the story. ἐξέστησαν ἡ., astonished us. ὀρθριναὶ : ὀρθρινός is a late form for ὄρθριος, and condemned by Phryn.; the adjective instead of the adverb = early ones, a common classical usage.
