ἀπὸ : indicating the terminus a quo. Mk. uses the accusative of duration. προσαναλώσασα (here only in N. T.), having expended in addition: to loss of health was added loss of means in the effort to gain it back. βίον, means of life, as in Luke 15:12; Luke 15:30; Luke 21:4. οὐκ ἴσχυσεν, etc., was not able to get healing from any (physician), a milder way of putting it than Mk.'s.
