ἐκπερισσῶς, abundantly in matter and manner, with vehemence and iteration; a ἅπαξ λεγ. ἐλάλει, kept saying: that he would not deny his Master even if he had to die for it. ὡσαύτως, a stronger word than Mt.'s ὁμοίως = in the same way, and probably in the same words. But the words of the others were simply a faint echo of Peter's vehement and copious talk. They feebly said once (ἔλεγον = εἶπον) what he said strongly again and again (ἐλάλει).
