κατηραμένοι, cursed, not the cursed (οἱ wanting), and without τοῦ πατρός μου. God has no cursed ones. εἰς τὸ πῦρ, etc., the eternal fire is represented as prepared not for the condemned men, but for the devil and his angels. Wendt brackets the clause κατηραμένοι … ἀγγέλοις αὐτοῦ to suggest that as Jesus spoke it the passage ran: go away from me, for I was hungry, etc.
