17 If therefore God gave them the same gift as He gave us when we believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could withstand God? "

1. What was similar to Pentecost?

1. Cornelius was given the SAME GIFT - tongues - as the Apostles were given in Acts 2:1-47.

2. The second similarity was in the manner of how it was sent. It came directly from God with no human intervention.

2. With those similarities, how could Peter resist, refuse, withstand God?
