but we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, even the wisdom that hath been hidden, which God foreordained before the worlds unto our glory [Paul often speaks of Christ and his gospel as a mystery (Romans 16:25; Ephesians 3:4-9; Colossians 1:26; 1 Timothy 3:6; 1 Timothy 3:17).
