NOW CONCERNING SPIRITUAL GIFTS, BRETHREN,. WOULD NOT HAVE YOU
IGNORANT.
'spiritual gifts' -their origin is God not man. Possibly their letter
also contained questions on this subject also. (1 Corinthians 7:1)

which he employs... [ Continue Reading ]

BUT TO EACH ONE IS GIVEN THE MANIFESTATION OF THE SPIRIT TO PROFIT
WITHAL.
'is given' -'to each of us is given whatever gift we have--a point
that was very necessary for the instruction of the Corinthians who
liked to boast about their gifts and forgot that they were given.'
(Lenski p. 498)

TO ANOTHER FAITH, IN THE SAME SPIRIT; AND TO ANOTHER GIFTS OF

is the same Spirit... [ Continue Reading ]
FOR THE BODY IS NOT ONE MEMBER, BUT MANY.
While the body is one (1 Corinthians 12:13), it is. mistake to think
that the body is composed of one member. But, by elevating the gift of
tongues over all other gifts, this is precisely what some of the
Corinthians were saying, i.e. the only important fun... [ Continue Reading ]

in Corinth, that such people... [ Continue Reading ]

'But now' -the way that God has set things up in His wisdom. (1

AND THE EYE CANNOT SAY TO THE HAND,. HAVE NO NEED OF THEE: OR AGAIN
