For some years now Gentiles were becoming Christians, but what had started out as. trickle in Acts 10:1; Acts 11:1 is now becoming. torrent of conversions, especially following Paul's first journey (Acts 14:27). Yet some professed Christians of. Jewish background had. problem with Gentiles becoming Christians without converting to Judaism (Acts 15:1ff). In addition, we have false brethren (Galatians 2:4), from. Pharisee past who are trying to force Christians into believing that keeping the Law of Moses is essential for salvation (Acts 15:1).
