Acts 27:16 Kau/da {B}

According to Blass the true form of the word is Kau/doj or Gau/doj, but it was frequently spelled with l. 375 Haenchen, following Lake and Cadbury, thinks that Klau/da is the Alexandrian and Kau/da the Latin form of the name. The form without l was taken over into modern Greek Gaudonh/si (the island @nh/soj# of Gaudos). The reading of the Textus Receptus Klau,dhn, following H L P and most minuscules, betrays an editorial hand that corrected the grammar to the accusative.
