Ephesians 5:9 fwto,j {A}

Instead of fwto,j the Textus Receptus reads pneu,matoj, with î46 Dc K Y 88 104 614 1739mg al. Although it can be argued that fwto,j has come in from the influence of the same word in the preceding line, it is much more likely that recollection of Paul’s reference in Galatians 5:22 to o` de. karpo.j tou/ pneu,matoj has led to the introduction of the word here. The reading fwto,j is strongly supported by early and diversified witnesses, representing both the Alexandrian and the Western text-types (î49 a A B D* G P 33 81 1739* it vg syrp, pal copsa, bo goth arm eth Origen).
