Instead of o[te (which is read by A C P 046 1006 1611 1854 2053 2344 vg syr^{ph, h} arm) several witnesses, including î⁴⁷ a several minuscules cop^{sa, bo} al, substitute o[sa. A majority of the Committee, impressed by the external evidence, preferred o[te, and considered o[sa to be an exegetical modification, similar to other interpretative rewritings of the text found in sporadic witnesses.
