Isaiah 56:1-12

Contents: Solemn instruction given to all to make conscience of duty. Charge against the careless and unfaithful.

Conclusion: The more assurance God gives us of the performance of His promises, the stronger obligations He lays us under to obedience to His commands. Righteousness and justice on our part, are required to evidence the security of our faith and repentance, and to open the way of mercy.

Striking Facts: Isaiah 56:1. The great salvation announced and wrought out by Christ was preceded by the call to repentance and faith. In Christ, the righteousness of God was revealed (Romans 1:17) and he is «made righteousness» unto all who receive Him.
