Luke 3:23-38

The genealogy of Jesus Luke 3:23-38; Matthew 1:1-17 Luke's Genealogy starts at Jesus and goes in reverse to Adam.  Matthew's Genealogy starts at Abraham and goes to Jesus. When the genealogies arrive at David, they split with David's sons:  Nathan (Luke / Mary's side) and Solomon (Matthew / Joseph's side). Matthew 1:17 So all the generations from Abraham to David [are] fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon [are] fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ [are] fourteen generations.
