David declares to a general assembly of the states summoned to meet him, that God had appointed Solomon to succeed him, and to build the temple, 1 Chronicles 28:1. Exhorts the people and Solomon to cleave to God, 1 Chronicles 28:8. Delivers to him the model and materials for the temple, 1 Chronicles 28:11. Encourages him to begin and finish the work, 1 Chronicles 28:20; 1 Chronicles 28:21.
