Exodus 34 - Introduction
A.M. 2513. B.C. 1491.
Four instances of the return of God's favour we have in this chapter.
(1,) The orders he gives to Moses to come up to the mount the next morning, and bring two tables of stone with him, Exodus 34:1.
(2,) His meeting him there, and the proclamation of his name, Exodus 34:6.
(3,) The instructions he gave him there, and his converse with him forty days, Exodus 34:10.
(4,) The honour he put upon him when he sent him down with his face shining, Exodus 34:29. In all which God dealt with Moses as a mediator between him and Israel, and a type of the great Mediator.
