Genesis 16 - Introduction
A.M. 2093. B.C. 1911.
Hagar probably was one of those maid-servants which the king of Egypt (among other gifts) bestowed upon Abram, Genesis 12:16. Concerning her we have four things in this chapter,
( 1,) Her marriage to Abram her master, Genesis 16:1.
(2,) Her misbehaviour toward Sarai her mistress, Genesis 16:4.
(3,) Her discourse with an angel that met her in her flight, Genesis 16:7.
(4,) Her delivery of a son, Genesis 16:15.
