We have here,
(1,) The immediate consequence of the fall of Babylon, and the great revolution spoken of in the preceding chapter, namely, the deliverance of Judah from captivity, Isaiah 14:1; Isaiah 14:2. The triumphant song of the Jews on that subject, Isaiah 14:3. God's purpose against Assyria, Isaiah 14:24. Palestine is threatened, Isaiah 14:28.
