Adoption] i.e. of Israel by God as first-born son among other nations: cp. Exodus 4:22. Glory] i.e. the light by which God's presence was manifested: cp. Exodus 16:10; Exodus 40:34. Covenants] with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Service] i.e. of Tabernacle and Temple. Promises] i.e. of the Messiah.
