This chapter deals with (1) the classes of the porters, or warders (1 Chronicles 26:1); (2) the keepers of the treasures of the sanctuary (1 Chronicles 26:20); (3) the officials charged with external business, and chiefly scribes and judges (1 Chronicles 26:29).
