Verse Mark 5:4. _WITH FETTERS AND CHAINS_] His strength, it appears
was _supernatural_, no kind of chains being strong enough to confine
him. With several, this man would have passed for an _outrageous_
_madman_, and diabolic influence be entirely left out of the question;
but it is the prerogative... [ Continue Reading ]
Verse Mark 5:5. _CRYING AND CUTTING HIMSELF WITH STONES._] In this
person's case we see a specimen of what Satan _could do_ in _all_ the
wicked, if God should permit him; but even the devil himself has his
_chain_; and he who often _binds_ others, is _always_ bound himself.... [ Continue Reading ]

according to the prejudice of his countrymen." And do you think that
the _Spirit of God_ could employ himself in retailing such ridiculous
and nonsensical prejudices? "But... [ Continue Reading ]
Verse Mark 5:10. _OUT OF THE COUNTRY._] Strange that these accursed

might consider themselve... [ Continue Reading ]
