to the government of the church. It informs us of a battle between

READER! the perusal of this chapter ministers to our minds two very
opposite reflections; but both such as may be rendered sweet and
profitable under the Lord's teaching. It is hardly possible to look at
Ahab in the determined hardness of a corrupt heart, which neither the
